Indomie Instant Noodles Declared Safe
Oct 21, 2010 /EIN Presswire/-- Jakarta health officials confirmed that Indonesian-made instant noodles were safe for consumption, according to the Jakarta Globe.
In the past week, the sale of Indomie-brand instant noodles was stopped in Taiwan after the health department said the product contained harmfully excessive levels of preservatives. The company tested a sample of 158 packets, and preservatives were found in 96 of them but not at levels exceeding the amount allowed by the government.
The health minister of Jakarta said in a conference with the World Health Committee that the preservatives are harmless if used at the recommended level.
