Oct 20, 2010 /EIN Presswire/ - Although many centrist and conservative Democrats are calling for the Speaker of the House to step down from her post after midterm elections, experts believe that Nancy Pelosi will no doubt run for re-election to the Speaker's role if Democrats maintain control of the House of Representatives.

Pelosi's aides point to her favorable standing with Progressives, females, the Black Caucus and the sizable California delegation as reasons why she should be able to retain her leadership role.

Detractors in her own party, such as North Carolina's Mike McIntyre, are vowing to support anyone who runs against her for the party's House leadership position.
