Oct 11, 2010 (PRN): IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced that Pyro, a pioneer in providing innovative mobile-technology solutions, has engaged IBM as the strategic partner in a US$ 19 million engagement over a period of 5 years. As a strategic advisor IBM will help Pyro with the development, testing, and management of its large portfolio of various products and solutions as well as value added services (VAS) in telecom industry domain.

Pyro has witnessed significant growth in the past few years and has established itself as a leading player in mobile-technology solutions market. While the demand of business is expected to increase manifold, it was critical for Pyro to have a competitive advantage through innovative and more customer-centric service offerings. The engagement will enable Pyro to develop cutting edge products, better address customer needs, and achieve faster go-to-market.
