Manufacturing: Shengkai Wins Hong Kong Contract

(NASDAQ: VALV), a ceramic valve manufacturer with operations in the People's Republic of China, said that it has won its first key contract in Hong Kong. The company said that, after one year of testing and selection procedures, Shengkai Innovations' valve products have been well received by Hong Kong power generation companies. Shengkai said that its V-shape ceramic ball valves can serve as direct replacements for its Indian counterparts, which its new Hong Kong customers previously used.
The company said that, as of August 16, it has filled thee commercial orders under the new contract.
China-based Shengkai Innovations is engaged in the design, manufacture and sale of ceramic valves, ceramic materials and the provision of technical consultation and related services.
The company's industrial valve products are used by companies in the electric power, petrochemical, metallurgy, and environmental protection industries as alternatives to traditional metal valves.
