Enel Operates Its Second Wind Farm in France

Aug. 9, 2010 -- Enel Green Power announced it has begun operations at its second-largest wind farm in France, with 24 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity from 12 wind turbines of 2 MW each.

The company said the Haut-de-Conge wind farm will produce more than 50 million kWh per year, meeting the annual energy needs of about 15,000 households.

"Thanks to this 24MW of additional wind capacity, we confirm our aim to reinforce our presence in France" said Francesco Starace, President of Enel Green Power

With the Haut de Conge wind farm, Enel Green Power France's total installed capacity in France reaches 92 MW, with an annual production of over 200 million kWh.
