August 4, 2010 (FinancialWire) (Go to http://www.financialwire.net/?s=ftrdnwswnd for all of today’s featured news.) — Global Axcess Corp. (OTCBB: GAXC), an independent provider of self-service kiosk solutions, said that its ATM subsidiary, Nationwide Money Services, has signed an extension of a previously closed contract with a grocery store chain, adding 28 additional ATMs to an initial deployment of 31 ATMs with a full turnkey Global Axcess program.
The company said it expects to begin generating revenues from these services in the fourth quarter of 2010.
George McQuain, Global Axcess’ CEO, said that in March of last year the customer installed 31 ATMs using Global’s turnkey program. He said that, “Based on the success of that program, we are now essentially doubling this installation, adding 28 new locations that were still under contract with a competitor when they awarded us the initial 31 installations.”
Florida-based Global Axcess was founded in 2001 as a provider of self-service kiosk services in the United States. The company provides turnkey ATM and other self-service kiosk management solutions that include cash and inventory management, project and account management services.
Global Axcess currently owns, manages or operates more than 4,500 ATMs and other self-service kiosks in its national network spanning 43 states.
