August 2, 2010 (FinancialWire) (Go to http://www.financialwire.net/?s=ftrdnwswnd for all of today’s featured news.) — Maxwell Technologies (NASDAQ: MXWL) said that, in its negotiations with the Department of Justice to reach a settlement of alleged violations of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, DOJ has not indicated a specific settlement amount or other terms that would be acceptable to settle the ongoing investigation.

The company reported on the negotiations on July 29.

In a statement, the company said that there are “numerous other” aspects of the settlement, in addition to the monetary penalties, that also need to be resolved."

California-based Maxwell is a developer and manufacturer of energy storage and power delivery solutions.
