2010 Sees Early Advent From Magnet

Christian publisher Magnet Resources launches a new worship resource for Advent 2010 comprising four A2 posters and a 16 page booklet with worship material for the four weeks of Advent.

PRESS DISPENSARY - Wednesday, Jul 21, 2010 - A new worship resource for Advent is now available from Magnet Resources (www.ourmagnet.co.uk/shop ), comprising four A2 posters and a 16 page booklet with worship material for the four weeks of Advent.

The worship material is based on the eight United Nations Millennium Development Goals* and includes liturgy, prayers, reflections, discussion starters and other material suitable for public worship, group study and personal devotions. The author is Stella Bristow who is known for her creative worship and is author of the book 'Sensing God'.

The poster images are by the Chinese artist He Qi and depict four Advent scenes beginning with the visit of Mary to Elizabeth and ending with the birth of the baby Jesus. They are printed on high quality glossy paper and are also available as pdf downloads for projection.

The set is published by Magnet Resources, a new charity established in 2009 to continue to publish the Christian magazine Magnet, which started in 1987 as a Methodist publication. Magnet Resources has the two aims of broadening the reach of the magazine to people of other denominations and those with an interest in spiritual matters but no formal church allegiance and also of offering a wider range of resources for individuals and groups.
