(NYSE: CFX), a firm that provides fluid-handling solutions, said that Australia-based shipbuilding firm ASC has ordered $1.2 million in pumping technology on behalf of the Air Warfare Destroyer Alliance for building three new air-warfare destroyers for the Royal Australian Navy.

The order is primarily for three-screw rotary positive displacement pumps, which will be used for handling fluids such as fuel, lubricating oil and bilge water, according to Colfax.

The order will be fulfilled through Colfax's in-country navy agent, Australian Pump Industries Pty. Ltd., which will work with the shipyard during installation and after the ships launch to provide spare parts, overhauls and maintenance.
