Outsourcing: Ness Extends Israeli Government Contract

(NASDAQ: NSTC), a provider of information technology solutions and services, said that its outsourcing contract with Israel's Ministry of Environmental Protection has been extended for an additional three years, in a deal valued at about 10 million Israeli shekels, or around $2.6 million.

Under the deal, Ness Technologies will operate and maintain the ministry's IT systems around the clock, including infrastructure systems and application development.

Ness will assume overall responsibility for the ministry's IT systems according to a service level agreement. Ness Technologies' Unified Reference and Delivery Center, a help desk center serving outsourcing customers, will serve as the ministry's help desk for around 600 users.
