Outcomes In Public Sector Commissioning
In response to forthcoming UK government public sector cuts, the Royal Society for Public Health is launching a range of one day courses to help those who commission health and social care get the best client outcomes for their commissioning investments.
PRESS DISPENSARY - Thursday, Jun 17, 2010 - The Royal Society for Public Health (http://www.rsph.org.uk), with support from the Centre for Public Innovation, has launched a new range of one day courses on outcome based commissioning in Health and Social Care.
Following the coalition government's warning on significant public sector cuts to come, it is vital that commissioners and providers immediately acquire skills to get the best possible client outcomes for investment. These courses will take you through key concepts on client outcomes and show you how to apply such thinking to your commissioner and provider practice. There are specialist days dedicated to writing successful bids as well as how to apply outcome based commissioning for those working with children, young people and families.
Professor Richard Parish, Chief Executive of RSPH comments "It is essential in these difficult times that commissioning health and social care is carried out professionally, and with a good result for the client at the forefront of the decision."
Bernadette Bruton, Business Manager at CPI, says "Successful organisations continually strive to become more effective with improved performance and better results. Outcome based working practices are essential to achieving this aim for the public sector."
These programmes are designed for both commissioners and third sector health and social care providers. This series of six courses, focusing on different aspects of innovation and outcomes, is scheduled for 14th- 30th July.
