April 8, 2010 (FinancialWire) — Dassault Systèmes (OTC: DASTF) a French firm offering 3D and product lifecycle management software, said it has signed a global reseller agreement with Intercim LLC, a firm offering manufacturing and production operations management software, under which DS will resell the complete Intercim product portfolio.

With this reseller agreement DS said it delivers to the market an integrated end-to-end solution that allows customers to execute step by step instructions on the shop floor exactly as defined and planned by manufacturing engineers.

The company said that the solution also helps to increase worker comfort and productivity with intuitive interactive 3D work instructions, reconcile as-designed/as-planned/as-built data for seamless collaboration between all extended enterprise functions and integrate real-time production information and relevant as-built information directly to a 3D mock up.

Intercim provides software meanto to help manufacturers meet regulatory requirements, harness lean principles, manage quality and execute processes in a paperless environment.

Dassault operates in 80 countries. The company has been engaged in the 3D software market since 1981. The Dassault Systèmes portfolio includes CATIA, a software suite used for designing the virtual product which, among other things, has in recent years been used by Boeing for the 787 Dreamliner project.
