March 30, 2010 (FinancialWire) — The Timken Co. (NYSE: TKR) said it will increase base prices on the company’s hot-rolled special bar quality products by $30 per ton and cold-finished and thermal-treated SBQ products by $40 per ton.

These price increases are effective with shipments beginning on May 1. Timken said that raw material surcharges will remain in effect.
