(NASDAQ: GTEC) said that it has received an $18.7 million delivery order with the U.S. Army Materiel Command to provide expeditionary field feeding units, also known as containerized kitchens, to the U.S. Army in support of the military’s force modernization and mobility efforts.

According to GTEC, delivery of the CKs is anticipated to begin in 2011.

The CK is a ruggedized and transportable commercial grade kitchen with the ability to feed 800 troops three fresh meals per day. Currently GTEC CKs are deployed in places such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Korea, Germany and as part of the recent humanitarian efforts in Haiti.
