Kuntz To Replace Siemers As First Franklin Chairman, CEO
February 22, 2010 (FinancialWire) — Thomas H. Siemers, the chairman, president and CEO of First Franklin Corp. (NASDAQ: FFHS) and chairman of Franklin Savings and Loan Co., plans to retire effective March 31, 2010. The company’s board has selected John Kuntz to replace Siemers as chairman, president and CEO of First Franklin Corp. and chairman of Franklin Savings and Loan Co. effective April 1.
Siemers has been with Franklin Savings for more than 60 years. He joined Franklin Savings in 1948 and was elected to the board of directors in 1953. He was elected as president of Franklin Savings in 1968.
The company said that Siemers will continue to serve on the First Franklin and Franklin Savings and Loan boards.
Gretchen Schmidt, president and CEO of Franklin Savings and Loan, will continue in her current leadership role.
Kuntz has served on the Franklin Savings and Loan board of directors since 2003 and the First Franklin board of directors since 2006.
