General Dynamics Wins $27 Million Military Sealift Contract
January 19, 2010 (FinancialWire) — General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) American Overseas Marine unit has been awarded a $27.2 million operations and maintenance services contract by the U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command.
Through this contract, General Dynamics will provide operations and maintenance for seven Navy Large, Medium-Speed, Roll-On/Roll-Off vessels. Services will include crewing, engineering, maintenance, procurement and provisioning.
AMSEA has operated the vessels in this program for the last five years, according to Captain Thomas Merrell, president of General Dynamics, American Overseas Marine.
