January 6, 2010 (FinancialWire) — CSC (NYSE: CSC) said that the U.S. Army awarded the company a task order to continue providing a full range of Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Information Management support and services at U.S. Army Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland.

The task order, which was awarded under the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions 2 Services indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract, has a one-year base period, four one-year options and an estimated total five-year contract value of $79 million.

This contract was awarded to CSC during the company’s fiscal 2010 second quarter.

Under the terms of the new agreement, Log.Sec, a CSC company, will provide help desk and data center operations and maintenance services for various agencies at APG. Services will include network infrastructure support, software development, project management and quality control.

Virginia-based provides technology-enabled solutions and services. The firm has approximately 92,000 employees and reported revenue of $16.0 billion for the 12 months ended October 2, 2009.
