According to ViaSat, the combination of ViaSat and WildBlue sets the stage for accelerated growth and expansion of the WildBlue broadband service using ViaSat next generation network technology, which includes the high-capacity ViaSat-1 satellite scheduled to launch in early 2011.

California-based ViaSat provides networking products and managed network services for enterprise IP applications, is a supplier of network-centric military communications and encryption technologies and products to the U.S. government and is a technology partner for gateway and customer-premises equipment for consumer and mobile satellite broadband services.
