AT&T Wins $120-Million Postal Contract Extension

December 11, 2009 (FinancialWire) — AT&T’s (NYSE: T) government Solutions unit has inked a $120-million contract extension to support U. S. Postal Service facilities across the country under the Postal Advanced Telecommunications Network contract.

Under terms of the agreement, AT&T will provide Managed Network Services such as IP address management, design and engineering, onsite installation, router, firewall, and Interactive Voice Response. The AT&T global Multiprotocol Label Switching -enabled network, a fully managed, highly secure, scalable data network, will continue to serve as the platform for this innovative network solution.

AT&T also provides BlackBerry handsets and voice and data services to U.S. Postal Service employees nationwide via an AT&T wireless solution.

The contract extension has a term of four years.
