McDonald Named P&G Chairman
December 9, 2009 (FinancialWire) — The Procter & Gamble Co’s (NYSE: PG) board said that A.G. Lafley, its chairman, will retire from the company effective February 25, 2010. He will step out of his role as chairman on January 1, 2010. Robert A. McDonald currently president and chief executive officer, has been elected chairman, in addition to his other responsibilities, effective January 1, 2010.
Cincinnati-based P&G’s brands include Pampers, Tide, Ariel, Pringles, Charmin, Duracell, and others.
