Xenon Group First With New Bifm Facilities Management Training

The Xenon Group will be the first to deliver the UK's new facilities management industry qualifications, BIFM Levels 4, 5 and 6.

PRESS DISPENSARY - Wednesday, Dec 09, 2009 - West Yorkshire based facilities management support company, the Xenon Group (http://www.xenongroup.co.uk ), is to be the first tuition provider to deliver the UK's new facilities management industry qualifications, BIFM Levels 4, 5 and 6. Its status is recognised in the awarding - by the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) - of the first ever, coveted 'BIFM Centre Recognition'.

The honour follows hot on the heels of this summer's success for the Xenon Group in becoming the first approved provider of Certificate and Diploma qualifications in the Institute of Leadership and Management's (ILM) 'Level 3 in Facilities Management'. Together, these 'UK firsts' put the Xenon Group at the forefront of UK facilities management tuition.

The new BIFM qualifications will launch in 2010 to replace the older 'BIFM Part 1 & 2' and are accredited onto the Qualifications and Credit Framework. They offer increased flexibility by giving greater recognition to work-based learning and are designed specifically to take into account a learner's role within an organisation.

The Xenon Group's tuition will give learners more opportunities to undertake specific individual units relevant to their role at work, and to accumulate credits towards the achievement of an award, certificate or diploma.

Learners may also be assessed by a variety of different methods, particularly where they and their employers would like learning 'on the job' to count towards their formal evidence of achievement.

Xenon Group MD David Morris commented: "Being the first to gain BIFM Centre Recognition, with a BIFM assessment rating of 'excellent', the Xenon Group is well placed to implement this refreshing new approach to Levels 4, 5 and 6. Having delivered Parts 1 and 2 tuition for many years in workshop form - and with an average exam success rate of 93% - we can see tremendous potential for our future learners and their employers, as well as ourselves.

"The BIFM's recognition also enables the Xenon Group to deliver an expanded training portfolio, from Level 3 to Level 6, to existing clients such as AstraZeneca, ITV, Ernst & Young, the Serious & Organised Crime Agency and the MoD."

The Xenon Group is currently enrolling learners for the ILM Level 3 in FM Award, Certificate & Diploma programme, with the next course starting on January 15, 2010. The BIFM Level 4, 5 & 6 programme will be launched on February 17, 2010.
