SPOT Expands Satellite Messenger Coverage In Africa
December 1, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Spot LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Globalstar Inc. (NASDAQ: GSAT) and a leader in personal satellite messaging and emergency communications, has expanded coverage in Africa for the SPOT Satellite Messenger products.
The expansion is a result of an applique installation in the new satellite ground station in Kaduna, Nigeria.
SPOT customers will now benefit from reliable satellite coverage in Nigeria, the surrounding portions of Western and Central Africa and parts of coastal Atlantic and Gulf of Guinea maritime region. Distribution of the SPOT Satellite Messenger Products is expected to begin in Africa early next year.
