CanAlaska To Buy Uranium Project
November 30, 2009 (FinancialWire) — CanAlaska Uranium Ltd. (TSXVenture: CVV) (OTCBB: CVVUF) plans to acquire the Cluff Lake project data and mineral claims located in the Western Athabasca Basin, from Hawk Uranium Inc. (TSXVenture: HUI).
CanAlaska will purchase 100% of the project from Hawk for 1.25 million company shares and a cash payment of Cdn$62,500, subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange. Hawk will retain a 2.5% Net Smelter Return, 2% of which will be purchasable by CanAlaska for payments of Cdn$2.0 million.
The Cluff Lake claims will be added to those of the company’s existing Carswell project.
Canalaska Uranium is undertaking uranium exploration in twenty 100%-owned and three optioned uranium projects in Canada’s Athabasca Basin. Since September 2004, the company has aggressively acquired a land position in the region comprising over 2.5 million acres
