The equipment will be employed by the United States government to support an ongoing military communications program.

The order includes the DMD2050 Universal Satellite Modem and corresponding redundancy switches. The DMD2050 Satellite Modem is designed to comply with the widest possible range of United States government and commercial standards, and is compatible with the largest number of satellite modems in the industry.
