Cloud Peak Energy Prices IPO
November 23, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Cloud Peak Energy Inc. (NYSE: CLD) has priced its initial public offering of 30.6 million shares of its common stock at a price of $15 per share. The shares will begin trading on Friday, November 20, 2009, on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol, “CLD.”
Credit Suisse Securities (NYSE: CS), Morgan Stanley & Co. (NYSE: MS) and RBC Capital Markets are acting as joint book-running managers.
In addition, the underwriters have the option to purchase up to an additional 4,590,000 shares to cover over-allotments, if any. Cloud Peak will not retain the proceeds of the offering.
Wyoming-based Cloud Peak Energy is a coal producer in the United States. The company owns and operates three surface coal mines in the Powder River Basin. The Antelope Mine and Cordero Rojo Mine are located in Wyoming and the Spring Creek Mine is located near Decker, Montana.
