October 30, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Jack Henry & Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ: JKHY) has acquired Washington-based Pemco Corp.’s Pemco Technologies subsidiary, a provider of payment processing solutions primarily for the credit union industry. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Pemco Technologies’ products and services include credit signature processing, debit signature processing, PIN-based processing, ATM services, cardholder awards programs and prepaid card programs.

The company’s products and services are used by around 235 financial institution customers, according to Jack Henry.

Jack Prim, CEO of Jack Henry said the acquisition, “supports our expansion in the growing electronic payments industry with solid credit card solutions.” He added that Pemco Technologies’ offerings complement Jack Henry’s range of ATM and debit card solutions the company provides through its jhaPassPort product suite.

Monett, Missouri-based Jack Henry & Associates is a provider of computer systems and ATM/debit card/ACH transaction processing services primarily for financial services organizations.
