As reported by the Thomasville Times-Enterprise, plans have been made to check the building for asbestos and lead paint as a new judicial center becomes closer to being ready for occupancy. As noted in the reported, offices currently located in the old courthouse will be relocated to the new building, which will reportedly be a smoke free campus. The historic courthouse built in 1958, will be renovated following the asbestos assessment. Tony Huber, president of Huber Engineering Co.
