Digital Ally Receives $3 Million Turkish Order
October 8, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Digital Ally, Inc. (NASDAQ: DGLY) (Current Market Cap: $36.33 Mil.) said it has received an order from the Turkish Police department for in-car digital video systems valued at over three million U.S. dollars.
The order is scheduled to be shipped to the general directorate of the Turkish police in the fourth quarter of 2009. Digital Ally said that it represents the first substantial order from a foreign country for the company’s new DVM-750 system.
Digital Ally, through its Turkish sales representative, Mesan, was awarded a smaller initial contract in July 2009 for its DVM-500 systems from the Turkish Gendarmerie, a branch of the country’s Ministry of Interior that is responsible for the maintenance of public order in areas that fall outside the jurisdiction of police forces.
Overland Park, Kansas-based Digital Ally develops, manufactures and markets technology products for law enforcement, homeland security and commercial security applications. The company’s primary focus is digital video imaging and storage.
