October 7, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Bridgeline Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: BLSW),a developer of SaaS-based web application management software and award-winning interactive business technology solutions, announced that web applications it developed for the National Children’s Museum, Partners HealthCare, and Hooked on Phonics were recently honored by the WebAwards for Outstanding Achievement in Website Development.

The updated RVL website streamlines how users access and interact with resources such as funding, research and development, intellectual property, licensing, and marketing. Prospective researchers are able to use interactive contact tools to identify and connect with key people within RVL as they navigate each step in the product development process.

Winning in the Education Standard of Excellence category is the Hooked on Phonics eCommerce website (www.hookedonphonics.com). Hooked on Phonics was created in 1987 and has since been used by more than 2 million families to help teach children critical reading, math, and study skills. Hooked on Phonic’s new eCommerce system greatly enhances their capabilities around product promotion, customer service, and overall system administration. Many automated features were built into the system including BOGO (Buy One Get One free), bundling, and cross-sale, which reminds customers during the shopping and checkout process that they may also be interested in other related items. Additionally, a “refer a friend” viral marketing feature is utilized to enhance word of mouth promotion.
