Texas PD Chooses COPsync Software

September 25, 2009 (FinancialWire) — COPsync, Inc. (OTCBB: COYN), a software technology provider to law enforcement and emergency service professionals, announced that the company has received a four year contract to provide the Police Department of Quitman, Texas with the company’s real-time information sharing software. COPsync plans to begin implementing its software in Quitman patrol cars in the coming weeks.

Quitman Police Chief, Kelly Cole, made the determination to implement COPsync after a recent demonstration of the software’s capabilities. “With the COPsync technology, our officers will benefit from the safety provided by real-time information sharing and our community will benefit from more efficient and proactive police protection. By implementing COPsync, our officers will not only have access to critical real-time information in their patrol cars, but we will be sharing information we collect with other area agencies in close proximity to our county such as the Van Police Department, Lindale Police Department and numerous other agencies in Northeast Texas already on the system.”

The COPsync software is the first and only integrated software product that provides a real-time in-car, nationwide information-sharing network for law enforcement officers. Via a laptop computer or hand-held device, the user is able to immediately identify criminals, communicate with other officers, and access life saving and mission critical information. Additionally, the software includes data collection interfaces designed to expedite the paperwork process to allow officers to do their job more efficiently. The technology assists in all of the activities that an officer could expect to encounter while on duty, in a simple format and at the touch of a button, allowing officers to spend more time on the street instead of behind a desk.

“We are encouraged by the response and commitment we have been receiving among Texas Law Enforcement agencies. Once educated about our software and its associated benefits, the COPsync software becomes an obvious choice for law enforcement agencies,” stated COPsync, Inc. CEO, Russell Chaney.
