September 18, 2009, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Argon ST, Inc. (NASDAQ: STST) said it has been awarded a $49.7 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract by the U.S. Navy for research, development, and analysis, to produce command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance system architecture.

The work is in support of electro-optical, radio frequency, acoustic sensors, and special sensor systems for the Navy.

Argon said the contract is scheduled to be completed over the next three years and initial funding is around $5.4 million.

Fairfax, Virginia-based Argon ST designs, develops, and produces systems and sensors for domestic and international markets.
