CACI Awarded $24.5 Million Army Task Order
September 16, 2009, 2009 (FinancialWire) — CACI International Inc (NYSE: CACI ) said it has been awarded a $24.5 million task order to provide airborne, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance ground station support to the U.S. Army .
The contract, for one base year and two option years, was competitively awarded under the Army’s Strategic Services Sourcing contract vehicle. The work increases both the size and scope of CACI’s current business supporting the project, with the total amount of CACI’s S3 awards at more than $2 billion.
CACI said that the project provides an intelligence system housed in specially modified aircraft. It collects and processes intelligence data, then transfers this information to ground locations for further processing, analysis, and dissemination. Since its inception during the Cold War, the system has steadily evolved to meet the needs of the intelligence community.
Arlington, Virginia-based CACI provides professional services and IT solutions in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, and federal civilian government arenas. The company has around 12,500 employees working in over 120 offices in the U.S. and Europe.
