September 8, 2009 (FinancialWire) — RightNow (NASDAQ: RNOW) said it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire HiveLive, Inc., an enterprise-class social platform provider. Under the terms of the deal, RightNow will acquire all of the stock of HiveLive for around $6 million in cash.

According to the companies, the acquisition will combine RightNow’s on demand customer relationship management solution with HiveLive’s platform for customer support, engagement and loyalty.

The acquisition is expected to be accretive to earnings in the fourth quarter of 2010, according to RightNow. The company said it expects an increase in operating expenses of around $1 million per quarter as a result of headcount additions.

RightNow said it expects to close the transaction next week and have it recorded in its September 30 quarter end financial statements.

Bozeman, Montana-based RightNow offers on demand CRM solutions used by corporations and government agencies.
