The new modules, designated LXMG1930-28(tm), join Microsemi’s recently introduced LXMG1960-28(tm) high performance LED driver modules for 6-string applications. Together, the modules form a family that gives designers of medical, point-of-sale, kiosk, ATM and lottery terminals a choice of easy “plug and play” options for their applications.

Based on Microsemi’s LX1996(tm) LED driver integrated circuit, the new module family offers high performance features including 1 percent string-to-string current matching for optimum panel brightness uniformity, a wide 4.75V-28V input voltage capability, multiple dimming options with ratios up to 1,000: 1, and safety protection against LED shorts, over-voltage and over-temperature operation.
