Worker Mistakes Body for Asbestos

A mine worker found a man’s body he initially thought was dumped asbestos. Mesothelioma Cancer News (Australia) – A mine worker mistook the dead body of man for dumped asbestos. As reported by the Illawarra Mercury, the 52-year-old employee of Gujarat mines discovered the body early last week, but waited a few days in order to properly inspect what he initially believed to be asbestos. The worker is quoted in the report as stating of the grim finding, “I just fobbed it off as someone's dumped asbestos; that they'd put it there because they didn't want to pay the money to dispose of it… When I cut the end of it, that's when I realized it was more than old refuse.” The body has been identified as a 27-year-old man who had been reported missing in March.
