August 18, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Brightpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ: CELL) announced that the board of directors has appointed Cynthia L. Lucchese as a Class I director and to serve as a member of the audit committee.

Lucchese has been the senior vice president and chief financial officer of Hillenbrand, Inc (NYSE: HI) since January 2008. Previously, she had served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for Thoratec Corp.. Prior to that, she worked for Guidant Corp. in a variety of senior financial roles, including vice president and treasurer, vice president of finance and administration of the Guidant Sales Corp., and corporate controller and chief accounting officer.
