Asbestos Removal Begins at Minnesota School
An asbestos removal project has begun at a school in Breckenridge.
Mesothelioma Cancer News (Breckenridge, Minnesota) – Asbestos removal has begun at a school in Breckenridge, Minnesota. As reported by the Daily News, contractors have begun a two weeklong project at the Breckenridge Elementary Middle School after the discovery of the toxic mineral in the ceiling of the school gymnasium a few months prior.
Head custodian of the elementary school is quoted by the Daily News as stating of the removal project, “We're just going to make sure that nobody gets hurt by any of it, so we're going to remove [the tile] and put up something different to make it more safe.”
Asbestos exposure can lead to serious conditions such as mesothelioma and asbestosis if it persists over an extended period of time.
