NASA Ups Jacobs Contract Ceiling By $250 Million

August 12, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) said it has received a $250 million ceiling increase to its engineering, sciences, and technical services contract at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

The contract, which was originally valued at $542.5 million when it began in October 2005, is now worth up to $792.5 million. It consists of a one-year base period and four one-year options.

Jacobs is providing services across a range of engineering, technical, science, propulsion, program management, and business disciplines, including support to major NASA programs such as the space shuttle, the international space station, and the emerging Constellation program.

The company provided continuous support to NASA MSFC since 1989 under three previous contracts.
