August 11, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Rovi Corp. (NASDAQ: ROVI), formerly Macrovision Solutions Corp., and NDS Group Ltd, the provider of technology solutions for digital pay-TV, announced that Kabel Deutschland has signed an agreement for licenses to Rovi’s electronic program guide patent portfolio.

KDG, Germany’s largest cable network operator, is licensing Rovi’s EPG patents under the agreement between Rovi and NDS that was announced in April 2009.
