Under the contract, Globecomm will design and deliver multi-media processing centers for the customer, which Globecomm identifies only as “a global organization,” using a combined platform of satellite, broadcast and video services.

Service channels will be aggregated, packaged and distributed from multiple locations for standard definition and high definition MPEG-4 subscriber programming. The company said it anticipates the completion of the contract in its fiscal 2010 second quarter ending December 31, 2009.

Hauppauge, New York-based Globecomm Systems offers products and services including pre-engineered systems, systems design and integration services, managed network services and life cycle support services.

Globecomm’s customers include communications service providers, commercial enterprises, broadcast and other media and content providers and government and government-related entities.
