July 9, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Eclipsys Corp. (NASDAQ: ECLP) said that Chris E. Perkins has been named as the firm’s executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Perkins formerly worked at Per-Se Technologies, a provider of acute care solutions, physician outsourcing services and practice management and claims processing services. At Per-Se Technologies, he served first as executive vice president and chief financial officer, and then as executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Perkins will be responsible for all of the company’s financial operations, audit controls and financial business planning. Perkins will report to Phil Pead, Eclipsys’ president and chief executive officer.

After Per-Se, Perkins served briefly as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Emageon, a provider of radiology and cardiology digital imaging and archiving software during a transitional period for that company.

Atlanta-based Eclipsys is a provider of clinical, revenue cycle and performance management software, clinical content and professional services used by healthcare organizations.
