Computer Sciences Receives $29 Million Navy Task Order

June 22, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Computer Sciences Corp. (NYSE: CSC) said that the U.S. Navy has awarded the company a task order to provide operations, maintenance and management support a Navy enterprise network in the Far East.

The task order, awarded under the General Services Administration’s Schedule 70 contract, has a one-year base period and an estimated total contract value of $29 million.

Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will continue to provide information technology services for the Naval Network Warfare Command to support enterprise network operations, infrastructure and information assurance services, and legacy-to-enterprise transition support to classified and unclassified networks at various locations in the Far East, including Japan, Korea, Singapore and Guam.

The contract was awarded to CSC during the company’s fiscal 2009 fourth quarter, and follows a similar task order awarded to CSC in 2005 under a GSA contract.

Falls Church, Virginia-based Computer Sciences offers systems design and integration, information technology and business process outsourcing, applications software development, web and application hosting, mission support and management consulting.
