Jacobs Wins $170.6 Million Navy Engineering Services Contract
June 16, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) said it has received a contract to provide engineering support services for the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division. The contract, effective July 1, has a value of $170.6 million over a five-year period.
The company said that work under the contract will be performed primarily at the China Lake and Point Mugu, California, test sites. Jacobs has worked with the NAWCWD since 1995, providing systems engineering, test and evaluation, technical data and management support.
NAWCWD is the principal research, development, test and evaluation, and in-service engineering agency for air warfare and missile weapon systems.
