As reported by the Evening Chronicle, Carole Devoy is suing for one million pounds for loss of companionship as well as loss of a full-time carer, after the passing of her husband Alex Devoy. As noted in the report, Mr. Devoy’s death has been attributed to asbestosis and mesothelioma, which he contracted after being exposed to asbestos while in dockyards and the Merchant Navy. Mrs. Devoy, who has Parkinson’s Disease was forced to pay for professional caretakers after her husband’s death.
