General Dynamics Wins $47 Million Navy Contract

June 2, 2009 (Financial Wire) — General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) information technology unit has been awarded a $47 million contract by the U.S. Navy to support the military sealift command. The single award contract covers one base year with four option years.

Under the award, General Dynamics will provide engineering support for the modernization of the main engines and auxiliary systems onboard military sealift command vessels.

General Dynamics’ information technology unit provides IT, systems engineering and professional services to customers in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, federal civilian government and commercial sectors.
