Engel Named CEO At Wesco International

May 27, 2009 (FinancialWire) — The board Wesco International, Inc. (NYSE: WCC) plans to name John J. Engel as the company’s president and chief executive officer, effective September 1. Since joining Wesco in 2004, Engel has served as senior vice president and chief operating officer. He has served as a member of the company’s board since 2008.

Under the company’s succession plan, Engel will succeed Roy W. Haley, who has served as CEO since 1994. Haley will serve as executive chairman until the completion of his current term as a member of the Wesco board in May 2011.

The Wesco named Stephen A. Van Oss as chief operating officer, effective September 1. He will continue to serve as SVP. Van Oss currently serves as Wesco’s SVP of finance and administration and chief financial officer, a position he has held since 2000. He is also a member of the Wesco board.

Richard P. Heyse will join Wesco as VP and CFO on June 15.
