Mesa employee files sexual harassment lawsuit against GoDaddy.com in Arizona. Scottsdale, AZ(JusticeNewsFlash.com)--Employment law attorneys, representing a former female employee of GoDaddy.com Inc., filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against the Scottsdale, Arizona Web services company. As reported by the Arizona Republic, lawyers for Rachel R. Pearson, the former GoDaddy employee, filed the claim in U.S. District Court in Arizona citing sexual harassment in the work place. Court documents reveal a coworker allegedly began harassing Pearson in March of 2007, while she was employed at the Domain Registrar company. The male coworker named is accused of commenting, touching, and fondling Pearson's breasts at work, despite her repeated requests for the male worker to stop. Pearson continued to report the unsolicited sexual advances, by the male coworker, to supervisors and managers, including GoDaddy’s human resources department throughout 2007 with no action or relief by company leaders. Pearson filed a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and the federal regulatory agency issued her a notice of right to sue in February. Federal anti-discrimination laws require employees, who feel their worker rights’ have been violated, file their charges with the EEOC first. Employment law attorneys for the plaintiff assert Pearson was wrongfully fired, and her rights, as a worker, were not protected as required under federal labor laws, which are regulated by the U.S. Department of Labor http://www.dol.gov. The EEOC was successful in litigating a previous claim by a Muslim man against GoDaddy in 2006 in a U.S. District Court. The federal jury ruled for the wronged employee by awarding a $390,000 judgment for a man asserting wrongful termination based on his religion and race.
