May 21, 2009 (FinancialWire) — GVI Security Solutions, Inc., (OTCBB: GVSS) (Current Market Cap: US$7.90 Mil.) has acquired a suite of video management systems software and related technology from software provider PacketNVR, LLP.

Chairman Steven Walin said that GVI expects “the cost of acquiring the technology to be fully amortized by incremental cash flow, and there is no dilution to existing shareholders.”

He added that the new VMS offerings “will greatly enhance” GVI’s ability to drive sales growth of its Samsung IP cameras and other companion products. Walin said that the product suite allows GVI to provide proprietary a value-added system management solutions that complements Samsung’s IP video camera line.

Carrollton, Texas-based GVI Security Solutions is a provider of video surveillance and security solutions. The company has sales and service representation in North, Central and South America.

GVI’s customers include governments, retail chains, financial institutions and public and private school systems.
