One million people will represent “Peace in Action” via an online petition created to symbolize global unity and transformation.

Atlanta, GA (PRnine - August 27, 2008) - One million people will represent “Peace in Action” via an online petition created to symbolize global unity and transformation. One of several “Peace in Action” initiatives intended to promote global healing and environmental sustainability, the petition will commemorate the return of the Trail of Dreams World Peace Walkers from their walk around the world, across six continents to their final leg, a walk-a-long from New York City back to the Martin Luther King Center in Atlanta. With an intended one million signatures, the online petition will be presented to the United Nations, the White House and Congress in January 2009.

“We are asking people worldwide to sign this petition to illustrate that we are a global family and that this is really from the hearts of people from communities around the world,” said Ombassa Sophera, International and Atlanta Coordinator, Trail of Dreams World Peace Walkers.
