Sofame Technologies To Help Hospital Increase Energy Efficiency
May 13, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Sofame Technologies Inc. (TSX Venture: SDW), through Tozour Energy Systems, will deliver turn-key the solution needed to bring the boiler plant at the hospital campus in Trenton, N.J. up to the higher standards of energy efficiency.
With the installation of the Sofame steam pump in its boiler plant, the hospital expects to increase current energy efficiency by 25 per cent while reducing the annual rate of greenhouse gas emissions by 1,276 tons. The Sofame Steam Pump is a direct contact stack economizer which can be added to an existing boiler to improve efficiency and lower NOx and CO2 emissions. It solves a problem commonly encountered in power plants where there is no heat sink that can absorb all the heat recovered from the boilers’ stacks.
Sofame Technologies Inc. custom engineers and manufactures high-efficiency direct-contact heat recovery and hot water heating systems. Tozour Energy Systems is a full-service HVAC and building automation provider based in King of Prussia, Pa.
